Cheryl has over 15 years of experience practising her applied kinesiology skills in Prince George. She is a certified Kinesionics  and Natural Bioenergetics practitioner, and has her certification in several other forms of energy based therapies.  Cheryl is continually upgrading her education so she can provide her clients with the best care possible.

She has trained as and worked as a doula, attended births as a midwife's second attendant and been part of the pregnancy/birthing world.  She has worked and given birth in both hospital and home settings, with doctors and midwives, so she is familiar with the dynamics of both situations.  Helping with the nutritional aspect of growing a baby and the emotional preparation for motherhood is one of her delights.

Cheryl is currently training as a teacher of practitioners.

As a wife, mother of 12, and grandmother to growing numbers of grandchildren, her life experience allows Cheryl to bring a depth to her practice that many appreciate.

Wendy Squire

Wendy is a nurse with over 17 years experience as an RN in acute care settings.  Her career included surgery, orthopaedics, and gastroenterology.  She left nursing and moved from the Okanagan back to her hometown of Prince George to live with her mom.

Wendy has been pursuing her desire to assist people towards health through energy therapy.  She is currently working toward her level 3 in Health Kinesiology and has been studying Emotional Freedom Techniques.

Wendy loves the outdoors and is also an accomplished stone and wood carver.

Owen Nicholson

Owen is our friendly Avena Originals store keeper.  Interacting with customers and serving their needs is something Owen has had a lot of experience with over the years in his various roles as a QuickLube manager, glazier, and butcher.

Owen is prairie born and bred and was raised on a dairy farm in Manitoba.  At an early age he took over the farm and ran it successfully and raised champion quality breeding hogs that were sold all over the world for a number of years until he retired from farming.

Owen is the proud father of four daughters and grandfather to six grand-children.  Never one to back away from a challenge, Owen has also successfully integrated into Cheryl's family as husband and step-father to 12 and "Papa Owen" to the grandchildren.
